Ramiro Garza

It all stared a few years ago, as a hobby of the chef Ramiro Garza, cooking for family and friends, and thanks to the high demand of his services, decided to create a brand on February 2017 for his cooking, calling it Gorilla Smoke and Grill, due that all his dishes are cooked on fire with different techniques, like smoked, grill, etc.

At the same time was created the Gorilla barbecue team, with great friends/pit masters that competed in the best events at Texas and Mexico.

We stared with small steps in local events for 10-15 people, we kept growing and so the challenges, offering banquets for 300-400 people, so besides our services as special orders, coaching, and services as private chef. On July 2020 as part of our growing, we decided to open Gorillas Food Truck, offering a menu with Mexican American influence.

Gorilla Smoke and Grill It is a local business that started in the city of Laredo, Texas. The main cook is originally from Monterrey, Mexico, but he has lived here with his wife and daughters for more than a decade.
